The study, conducted by Victoria Milan – a dating site for married and attached people looking to cheat – asked 12,670 of its active male members from 21 countries how long their wives and long-term partners spend pleasing and teasing them in the bedroom – and how creative she is with her love games.

Playing with and eating fruit, alternating ice and warm sensations on skin, experimenting with playful sex toys, licking melted chocolate and whipped cream from each other’s bodies and streaming sexual acts for the pleasure of unknown strangers are just some of the adventurous and amorous acts these wives and long-term partners dabble in.

A woman with relationship longevity in mind keeps things fresh by ensuring the marital bed remains a place of pleasure, and she uses it as such for hours in the evenings, rather than allowing it to become a meeting place with an agenda that includes who is paying the bills and what time the kids need to be picked up from school.

Sexually smart women know that the longer they occupy their husbands, the more she will exhaust him and reduce the desire he might have to go and spend his sexual energy with another woman.

The luck of the Irish comes out on top, with Irish women spending the largest amount of time spent warming up the bed for their men. On average, Irish women spend 152 minutes taking care of their man so his eyes don’t wander.

Swedish men are almost as fortunate, as their blonde haired, blue eyed wives will dedicate 135 minutes to pleasing their man and exhausting him sexually.

Polish women are no fools and know they need to keep their husbands busy in the bedroom to avoid him being tempted by other beautiful Polish women. 131 minutes per bedroom session are spend ensuring he’s sexually satisfied.

You could set a timer to how long a German frau will spend time fluffing about in the marital bed. 130 minutes are assigned to amorous activities that become more adventurous as the marriage wears on – Germans are known for their kinky, boundary pushing boudoir behaviour.

Amorous Austrian women take their time and like to spend 128 minutes on average licking, pleasing, playing with and tempting their husbands and long-term partners. Similarly, Hungarian husbands are among the most sexually satisfied men on the planet as their hot Hungarian wives also give them 128 minutes of pleasure each time they have sex.

The Italian senoritas dish up 126 tasty, tantalizing and tempting minutes when they pin their husbands down in the bedroom. Italian women are generous but also jealous and will go to any lengths to please their man.

Danish women are beautiful, athletic and energetic and they have no problem burning off that energy in the bedroom, Danish men can expect 124 minutes per erotic evening where their wives will pull out all stops to ensure he is exhausted and has enjoyed himself.

The Swiss Misses spend just over two hours (122 minutes) ensuring the bedroom remains a place of pleasure and not practicalities. Swiss wives are known for getting creative and enjoying fine chocolate in more ways than one.

Greek women love to control their men, and their men truly enjoy being controlled – for 120 minutes at a time. Greek couples spend this time playing and pleasuring each other, and the women have a hidden agenda: exhausting their husbands.
